Prairie Dog Hunting General Information:
Prairie Dog Hunts are conducted primarily during the months of May, June, July and August. The pups show up around March and we begin hunting in May. The hunt is conducted on several large ranches. The hunters are stationed at one point and sit either in shooting benches or our high rack hunting truck. The hunts are fast paced and require lots of ammo! We suggest bringing at least 200 rounds per day for shooting. You can practice your hunting skills during the off season. Information About The Texas Gold Package Lodge:
With over 6000 sq. ft. -- The Lodge has 6 suites, each with their own bath, lots of porch space to enjoy the wide open spaces, and many modern comforts all in this rustic Western setting. The Lodge is made of over one million linear board feet of Canadian hemlock log timbers. Our rooms offer double and triple occupancy with plenty of space to spare. Handicap friendly facilities are available. You will enjoy our comfortable and casual setting. Guest enjoy home-style dining in a family atmosphere.

You will enjoy the warm down home feel of the country-style meals and furnishings at the ranch. One of the essentials of our success is good food and courteous prompt service. We plan meals around our member's and guest's requirements.
Our ranch speciality is our made from scratch cooking. Whether it is hot coffee with biscuits & gravy for breakfast, a tall glass of iced tea with a variety of venison and pot roast for lunch, or steaks grilled over wooden embers for dinner, our menu will be planned with your favorites in mind.
